Project Coordinator/Estimator

  • Minimum 2 years Project Coordinator experience in steel fabrication, detailing, and erection
  • Ability to read, interpret, and fully comprehend engineering specifications, engineered design drawings, specifications, scope of work, tender documents, and contracts
  • Experience as a structural steel detailer is an asset
  • Experience as a structural steel estimator is an asset
  • Experience in Bluebeam and Tekla is an asset
  • Motivated self-starter, who thrives in a team environment
  • Able to manage and organize a complex stream of information efficiently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license (required for site visits and meetings)
  • Preference will be given to graduates of an Engineering discipline, the BCIT Architectural and Building Technology program (ABT), VCC Drafting Certificate program, or the BCIT Architectural and Structural CADD and Graphics Technician program


  • Full-cycle project coordination including project finances and change order management
  • Mentor and lead project administrators
  • Remain current with the CISC Code of Standard Practice and BC Building Code
  • Provide technical leadership in all aspects of fabrication, detailing, and erection
  • Liaison with fabrication, detailing, and erection managers to meet project schedules
  • Maintain and grow relationships with all related stakeholders
